The Top Load Washer Drain Pump removes waste water from the washer during the drain portion of the cycle. If your washer is no longer draining properly, you may need to replace this part. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supply.
